irony.

the longer i spend wondering why i never get asked out the more i realize its because im too available. im sure all of you have heard of playing hard to get. and the more i look back on guys ive really truly liked more than just a small crush, the more i realize none of them were really within my reach. playing hard to get, well, gets me. and im not saying that the sweet cuddly guy doesnt get me because man do i ever get cuddly... im just saying that im finally reaizing how it works. i love a good cuddle. like really, sometimes i pretend my big heavy blanket is someone cuddling me when i fall asleep. and theres nothing wrong with that, its in my nature to love being cuddled. theres something about being that cose to another person that just makes you feel so good inside. (when its the right person... haha i dont want to be snuggled by a random perv) but anyways thats it for today!!! later days.

ps sorry the posts are a little slower coming these days, the internet is unhooked till the end of the month and so i have to use the kindle. which can get annoying wen it co mes to blogging... haha bye!

employed!!

so today i had a couple interviews downtown. a couple didnt fall through cuz the boss wasnt there but then it came to be six o cock and i walk into my last interview of the day. waltz right up to the desk and wait till the manager is done. then i find out its a group interview with one other person. dangit those are nerve racking... but anyways the manager leads us down some sketchy staircases and into an office. and then starts the interview ** ok now rewind for a sec, this is important, my brother introduced me to a bunch of people before i got to the interview that actually work at the location i was applying for. they gave me a heads up on some of the questions i might be asked which i really appreciated. i got soooo nervous when i walked in... haha heart raicng. dream job downtown...** hah ok so group interview. this girl has already worked in a mall in retail so shes got an advantage over me and im getting kinda scared. then i realize all the questions im being asked were the ones i was pevously warned about. yay!! haha and then she had us go upstairs and pick outfits for a specific customer in a scenario. she said to me before i ran off in a hurry for ten minutes 'this is what determines whether you get the job or not! haha!!' CRAP!! hah as if i wasnt already like sweating nervous... grosssss... but anyways we got to the end of it and she was like ok well normally we ask you to give us a week to decide whether we want to hire you, but im actually just gonna say i am going to hire both of you. (sweeettt!) haha so she called me later that night to inform me than my orientation would be on sunday at nine thirty. dangit haha that was a bummer. but i figured i can still go to chuch and this job would be the coolest. and i did tell them that i couldnt work sundays. soooo yea :) i have a job at forever twenty one. sweeeeettt.

spring has sprung

today is the first day of spring. and i got a tan line. from four twenty to five pm.. woooohoooo. daaaang gurl i missed the humid Ontario heat :). nuff said <3 laters :)

its late march.... and it feels like mid july. this. is. awesome. i almost got out and tanned today. then i realized that my nieces had decided to soak the lawn while playing in the sprinkler. haha yea its that hot. sooooo nice. but in other news i went and applied for jobs at a few places today :) and i also recorded an adorable video of nolan, which i will post later today. haha right now i just want to enjoy the weather :) laaaterrr

heeeeeyyyyy ladies :) just finished curling my hair. and let me say it looks fantastic!!! keep in mind three things, 1) that i dont own any pomade so the curls after being brushed are quite frizzy. 2) i forgot that you are only supposed to curl half way up the shaft for the crown area, so it turned out a bit different, but still cute!! 3) i think the girl in the video used a thicker curling iron than i did, so her curls were a lot looser and victoria's secret-like haha but i think i like this better anyways :) here are some pics.

curling iron love

so i have been trying to find a good cheap curling iron after watching this curling tutorial...

i have always used a flat iron to curl my hair, but because of this i decided to try something new. i had previously had curling irons that didnt work at all because my hair is really quite hard to curl. its long, thick, and pin straight... ugh i hate it sometimes.

but anyways so today i decided to venture to my local walmart (yes yes i do still appreciate their prices) in search of a good cheap curling iron, because every other store i ventured into had either no selection or was waaaayyy too pricey. **on a side note all of the curling and straightening and blow drying appliances are on the top shelf at this walmart.. makes things a lot harder to handle.. stupid walmart** i looked around and found two decent looking 1" curling irons. i had my nieces help me find a check price scanner and each of them scanned one. one turned out to be under $10..... k ya not happening, a bit too cheap thanks walmart. so i settled for this one:

this is the Infiniti by Conair tourmaline ceramic 1" curling iron

the packaging promises 30 second heat, easy slide curling, good long lasting curl and all that good stuff. so i got home and tried it out. i took a small piece from the front and curled it, held it for like five seconds and let it out. perfect barrel curl. now thats not the look i want so i brushed it out a bit. it got better but it was still pretty tight. i decided to take the curl out by wetting it with a comb. i did. it stayed. it loosened the way i wished it had by brushing it, but this means that the curl is gonna hold! YAY!! i recommend this curling iron so far to others. i will try and post tomorrow about it as i will be using it to curl my hair for church. i might even post pictures of before and after meetings and stuff. but anyways im super happy with the purchase. (ps this iron was a mere $30, which is fantastic for good styling products)

i love thunderstorms and i love nature and its beauty. but sometimes things can just get a little out of hand and catch you off guard. thank goodness for the comfort of somebody who cares. thank goodness i have been blessed enough that even in my pathetic five year old moment i had someone to talk to me and comfort me. i am blessed beyond my wildest dreams.

the cloud factory

so today megs the kids and i went to go see my brother in law at work, then spent some time at the mall. on our way to the mall claire said one of the cutest things i have ever heard her say. well actually watching her and trista play barbie is pretty cute.. they have such a magical sense of imagination!! haha but anyways we passed by a factory whose pipes were billowing white clouds of smoke reaching high into the sky. and claire remarks "look at all that smoke!! that must be where clouds come from! its a cloud factory!!!" hahaha aaaawe :) i just love her. cutest girl. in other news i got me some red pumps from forever 21 today :) soooo hot :)

adventure is out there!!

Sushi D. k guys this is the very first night i stuffed my face till it felt like food was coming out of every crevice in my body... but it tasted so good.... my goodness. all you can eat sushi. ya ok it was $25.. but hey every once in a while you gotta give a dolla if ya want some good eats ;)

and this was the dessert at that sushi place. vanilla ice cream and deep fried banana. actually reeeaally good. mmmmmmmmmmmmm
