alright :) outfit post number two!! :) please pardon the bare face, i was in a rush to get to work so i did it on the train.. haha not easy.

so now i am going to share with you my purchases of the day :) i got to work and had some time to spare so i accessorized!! here is what i got. and all under 12 dollars!

i love this ring.. its too cute.

ive been looking for earrings to go with the pants i wore today, and these are them :) and i saw the anchors and couldn't resist!! for under 5 bucks each who would!?

and before i scurry off i have some cool news!! two of my friends got called to the toronto canada mission and are reporting to the mtc on august 29th!! sick deal! :) and while were on the topic of missionaries i wanna say i saw about six of them working dundas square on my way to work and almost went to hug them i was so excited!! haha then i realized they cant hug girls. good call maddie :)

well anyways!! see you guys next time for another outfit! probably tomorrow.oh and ps. im going to canada's wonderland on friday. nbd. :)

ok so this is a super quick post because i am about to hop on over to the grocery store, but i figured i should let y'all know that a gorgeous friend of mine gave me a great idea! she asked me for my blog address in hopes to find cute fashion posts and if you've been reading my posts regularly, you know this is rare here... haha a lot of it is life related. BUT i have wanted to start doing outfit posts for quite some time now, and because i work in retail and get ready every morning, it will be a lot easier to get done!! and if i don't get dressed up one day i will try and post some sort of beauty tutorial or SOMETHING to tide you over :) sound good??? ok done!! thanks Angie for your lovely idea! i will be getting started as soon as i can!!!

ps. chances are we MIGHT be doing a blog overhaul to accommodate for the entirely new section. ENJOY

life in the city

passed by this on my way to work.. almost puked in my mouth.. looked so much scarier in person. the eastbound traffic was so bad.. the accident happened at like twelve thirty and i passed by it at about three. goodness gracious me!!! watch the video though, that's what it looked like when i drove by. miraculous that there were only minor injuries to the truck driver and nothing else to anyone in the other two vehicles. thank heavens.

so i worked a closing shift on saturday and i can not even begin to explain how busy it was.. like seriously... normally when you're closing the store and you have clothes to put away from fitting rooms you are allowed one single rack on each floor. well there were two FULL double racks and a single rack (and when i say full i mean like clothes falling off)... and we just barely squeezed out at eleven when we closed at nine. so i was out on go backs which, if you have been reading these posts regularly, you know is the job of putting all the clothes back on the floor after being tried on or thrown into random spots in the store by customers in a blind rush (HATE this). but anyways. the way it works in my store no matter how busy or slow the day is, the second floor go backs are always harder to handle. and that is exactly where i was this saturday. i almost swore out loud it got so bad. yea guys i know. bad. there was still chaos in dundas square when i walked out of the square closer to eleven thirty. 

i stopped to watch this guy though in the video posted above. he is crazy good. the video is of him making the painting below with only spray paints... the picture beneath that one is where his inspiration came from.. but seriously look at it!! i wish i had talent like that!!

and now were down to just pictures of Toronto life. only a few because i have been so busy with work :)

frustration

remember i said there was a possibility for a wonderful friday night and i was so excited? yeah well today my life just decided to suck. nobody could give me a ride. i tried texting and calling everybody i knew for two hours. and those who i contacted either had full vehicles, or they had already left. wanna know why this night was so important to me, and why i'm so bummed out about not going? well let me tell you. tonight is the ysa stake dance in toronto and i have been looking forward to it since the last week of april. so a month. i haven't been to a dance since about new years, and to be honest i gave up on dances a while ago because i always end up crushed by the end of it all. but this time it was going to be different... Bo was gonna be there. (ya remember that guy i told you about before??) i haven't seen him since that monday night. and its so frustrating trying ti get together with him because he works five out of the seven days of the week, and i work pretty much every other saturday. fridays don't always work out as tonight shows, and i am just plain old frustrated. it seems like every attempt i make to contact this guy is shot down hard. and not because he isn't interested. i don't know if he is, but circumstances just seem to point to me never getting a chance with him. and i only have three months left to get it. that stresses me out more than you can think. i'm a mess. call me a sap for crying over it. whatever, i don't care. i'm sad. crying is ok. i will stop soon enough. but for now, i want to just sit in my room and daydream. because lately that is just about the only thing that makes sense. later guys.

something about summer

there is something about summer that just makes everything seem so much better. i don't know if things were just better today in general but i'm gonna blame it on the weather. something about being hot all day and watching kids play in the yard with water guns just makes me so happy. something about the hot sun on my face just washes my worries away. something about the smell of fresh cut grass just gets to me way down deep. there's just something :)
something about dancing around like a maniac to carrie underwood and one direction just makes everything in me explode with laughter! i just love summer and everything that it entails. everything from bonfires to watching the sunset, from toes in the sand and camping without running water. <3 so many memories i wouldn't trade for anything.
looking forward to another fantastic summer season with the cutest kids <3 love you trista claire and nolan.

hahaha so i was in the kitchen right after lunch today and we had just eaten ichiban. we were on the topic of chopsticks and i just had to hop on the computer and blog about it... hahaha *note Megan and i are both joking when we talk, but Claire is 100% serious* it went something like this...

Results!!

so not too long ago i decided to challenge myself to start fitting an exercise regimen into my routine. and if you know me you know that working out is just something i don't do. yea i enjoy the occasional bike ride, but its for pleasure and release, not the results of a nice but and toned legs. so i was standing in the mirror the other day looking at my stomach, and i decided i should get my self a beach body this summer :) no more self-conscious me! so i got on the android app market and what do ya know an ab work out app appeared. YAY. it can be set to different lengths of time for a workout, how many repetitions you want etc. i started doing this every other day whenever i could find the time (i had originally planned to do it in the mornings but it didn't work out.... haha pun not intended..). at first the pain in my abs was too much to bear through the entire workout (only five minutes at this point... paha i'm pathetically out of shape) but now i can hold a REAL plank for a whole minute!! YAY hah no on-your-knees junk. and then this morning when i was getting ready to have a shower i noticed some fine lines on my stomach. very faint of course but I'M GETTING ABS! YAHOOOOOO!! hah i'm so excited to continue!! and i'm starting to incorporate more into my workout too, like push ups for that underarm flab, and plain old cardio for best results and overall health benefit.
i am in no way a professional at this whole work-out, get into shape stuff haha i just wanted to share my excitement!! well that's all for today!! gonna get ready for work :) laterrrrrr
